The starch in rice water can create a protective coating, potentially reducing discomfort during urination. Dr Sharma said, It helps in increasing blood flow in the body and reducing pitta as excess pitta can cause heat and cause a burning sensation. It also helps balance vata and kapha which helps prevent digestive issues and relieve burning symptoms during UTI. Additionally, Tabdulodaka is considered to have a mild diuretic effect, promoting increased urine production and potential removal of bacteria from the urinary system.

How to prepare rice water (Tandulodaka)?

Making rice water is easy. Take a bowl of rice (about 10 grams), wash it, and soak it in water for 2 to 6 hours in an earthen or stainless steel jar. After soaking, strain the rice water to separate it. Your rice water is ready to use.

How to consume rice water?

Have 50 ml of rice water every day, preferably in the morning. You can use any type of rice to make Tandulodaka, but red rice is considered the most beneficial. White rice is also suitable, but it must be uncooked. Also, do not heat the rice and keep it raw for preparation.
